Rockport, TX — December 11, 2023, two people were injured in a truck accident at approximately 9:40 in the morning along State Highway 35.
According to reports, a 37-year-old man was traveling in a northbound 18-wheeler in the inside lane of State Highway 35 approaching the 12th Street intersection when the accident took place.
Authorities indicate that, for unknown reasons, a Toyota Corolla at the 12th Street intersection attempted a left turn from eastbound 12th onto northbound S.H. 35 at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision with the northbound 18-wheeler. The 37-year-old sole occupant of the semi reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the crash. The 24-year-old man from the Corolla sustained suspected moderate injuries. They were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment.
