Friona, TX — December 5, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 10:30 p.m. along U.S. Highway 60.
According to authorities, a 39-year-old man in a Toyota Camry was traveling northwest on a private business drive attempting to enter U.S. 60 when the accident took place.
Officials state that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Camry entered the highway at an apparently unsafe time, neglecting to yield the right of way to highway traffic. This resulted in a collision with a northeast bound Freightliner with a trailer in tow. The man from the Camry incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
