Norfolk, VA — December 13, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just before 7:30 in the morning along Interstate 64.
According to authorities, an 18-wheeler was traveling along Interstate 64 in the vicinity of the Tidewater Drive exit when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler veered off of the road and collided with a concrete barrier, spilling fuel from its breached fuel tank. The driver of the vehicle reportedly incurred suspected critical injuries in the accident; they were taken to a local medical center by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities.
