Motley County, TX — October 16, 2024, one person was injured in a single-vehicle truck accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. along U.S. 62.
According to authorities, a 38-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Freightliner on U.S. Highway 62 in the vicinity east of Louise Street when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the truck failed to safely navigate a right-hand curve in the roadway. It reportedly veered off of the right side of the road before crashing through a fence and traveling through a steep, dry creek bed. Following that, it struck a power pole before finally coming to a stop in a pasture.
The man suffered severe injuries as a result of the wreck, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
