Moore County, TX — November 8, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just before 10:00 in the morning along U.S. Highway 87.
According to reports, a 51-year-old man was traveling in a northbound 18-wheeler on U.S. 87 between the Road U and Road R intersections when the accident took place.
Allegedly, the front right tire of the vehicle experienced failure of some sort, causing the 18-wheeler to veer to the right. It drove into a ditch and up a berm, leading the vehicle to leave the ground, coming down on its front end before toppling forward and settling on its roof. The 51-year-old—the sole occupant of the vehicle—incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the incident; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details pertaining to this incident.
