Mercersburg, PA — January 22, 2025, one person was injured in car accident at about 4 p.m. on State Route 6/Buchanan Trail West.
Authorities said a 2005 Mercury Mariner was driving north on Heisey Road when it apparently pulled out in front of a 1988 Peterbilt semi-truck. The truck was unable to avoid crashing into the SUV before hitting a tree and a utility pole.
The 76-year-old woman who was driving the Mercury was hospitalized with serious injuries, according to authorities. The truck driver was not injured.
Authorities have not released any more information about the crash. The accident is still under investigation.
