Manor, TX — December 6, 2023, two people were injured in a truck accident shortly before 4:45 p.m. along Farm to Market 973.
According to reports, a 17-year-old man was traveling in an eastbound Kia Sorento at the intersection of Lusitano Street and F.M. 973 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Kia, which was exiting a parking lot, failed to yield the right-of-way to the F.M. 973 cross traffic. As a result, the front passenger side of the Kia was struck by a northbound Toyota Camry occupied by a 42-year-old woman. The collision caused the Camry to swerve right, colliding with the front right corner of an 18-wheeler which had been in the westbound lane of Lusitano Street.
The 42-year-old woman reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the 17-year-old sustained suspected moderate injuries. Both were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported, and no further details are available right now. The investigation is ongoing.
