Limestone County, TX — January 6, 2024, a woman was killed in a truck accident just after 9:45 in the morning along State Highway 14.
According to reports, a 23-year-old woman was traveling in a southwest bound Chevy Cruze on State Highway 14 in the vicinity south of C.R. 456 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Chevy failed to safely navigate a curve in the roadway. It allegedly veered to the right and onto the shoulder before steering back toward the left, over the southwest lane and the center line, entering the northwest bound lane of the roadway. This resulted in a collision with an oncoming GMC truck. The collision caused the Chevy to veer off of the roadway completely and crash into a bar ditch where it came to a stop. The woman, who had been the sole occupant of the Cruze, incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
