Kaufman County, TX — October 17, 2023, one person was killed in a truck accident just after 11:15 p.m. along Interstate Highway 20.
According to reports, a 37-year-old man was traveling in a westbound 18-wheeler along Interstate highway 20 in the vicinity east of the County Road 126 bridge when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly veered left, leaving the roadway, crashing through cable barriers and crossing the center median before crashing into a creek and colliding with a concrete bridge column supporting the eastbound lanes of the highway; there, it finally came to a stop. The 37-year-old incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident, having been declared deceased.
