Clackamas County, OR — January 15, 2026, three people were injured following a multi-vehicle truck accident around 7:30 p.m. along Interstate 5.
Investigators said that the crash happened along the northbound lanes of the interstate south of town near Charbonneau.
It appears that Toyota SUV was going southbound when it crashed with a northbound Jeep. Sometime following this, a northbound semi-truck crashed into the Toyota. The Toyota driver reportedly had serious injuries due to the crash.
Two people from the Jeep had unspecified injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details about the crash can’t be confirmed.

It’s important to take serious wrecks like this with a couple grains of salt. Even when early reports seem open-and-shut, it’s important to know what all authorities have looked into. Did they catch a few obvious factors and end their investigations there? Or, did they continue below the surface to make sure they were telling the full story and getting all the facts? It’s possible independent investigations here might just confirm that authorities are already being thorough on their own. Otherwise, if there’s more to this story, further efforts could help bring that information to light.
