Houston, TX — December 5, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 7:40 in the morning along Reveille Street.
According to reports, a 65-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were traveling in a southbound Toyota Sequoia SUV in the left lane of Reveille Street approaching the Arnim Street intersection when the accident took place.
An 18-wheeler was reportedly occupying the right lane next to the SUV. The causal factors that led to the accident are unclear due to differing accounts, according to authorities. It is clear, though, that as the two vehicles approached the area where Reveille Street merges with the off-ramp lanes of Gulf Freeway, the SUV mounted the curb on the left side of the road, crossing over two lanes of the off ramp where it went into a skid and collided with a light pole in the median.
The 57-year-old woman reportedly sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident; she was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment. It is unclear whether or not anyone else involved was hurt.
