Houston, TX — October 26, 2023, a woman was injured in a truck accident just before 3:45 p.m. along Interstate Highway 610.
According to reports, a 33-year-old woman and two 16-year-old girls were traveling in a westbound Mitsubishi Mirage along South Loop E in the vicinity west of Woodridge Drive when the accident took place.
Weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been cloudy and wet. Officials indicate that the Mitsubishi began to spin due to the wet roadway conditions, colliding with the wall barrier before also crashing into an 18-wheeler. The 33-year-old woman sustained suspected serious injuries due to the accident; she was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. No additional injuries have been reported.
