Following any serious crash like this, it’s important to know how much authorities followed up with everyone involved. Something I’ve seen many times in truck accidents is people being seriously injured and rushed to a hospital before authorities can speak to them. If authorities follow up later on, they can make sure they get the victim’s side of the story before jumping to any conclusions. Sometimes, though, authorities will just move on without ever hearing out the victim’s point of view. This can lead to serious oversights and important details being ignored. So if authorities here have been thorough and covered all their bases, that would be good to hear. It’s just not the sort of thing folks should automatically take for granted.
