Terry County, TX — October 21, 2025, a man was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 5:06 p.m. along Highway 137.
Initial details about the accident said that the crash took place on Lamesa Highway just off FM 213, south of Brownfield.
According to investigators, a 39-year-old man was in a semi-truck going northbound on the highway. In events unclear, the truck lost control and overturned. Due to the crash, the driver was seriously injured.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Additional details are unavailable.

Single-vehicle rollovers can be challenging enough on their own without the vehicle being a commercial truck. That raises a whole host of other possible issues that authorities frankly aren’t always equipped to look into. Maintenance records, possible defects, cargo shifts, drivers forced to work unreasonable hours or meet unreasonable deadlines, etc. So unless authorities here were uniquely equipped to give this crash far closer attention than the average car wreck, I have to wonder if this crash really got a proper investigation.
