Winnebago County, IL — December 2, 2025, one person was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 1:00 p.m. on Freeport Road.
Initial details about the accident say that it happened in the area of the State Route 75 and North Meridian Road intersection.
According to officials, a pickup and a semi-truck were crossing the same area. Somehow, the vehicles collided. This led to the semi overturning off-road.

After seeing pictures of such a serious wreck, I’m surprised to see there were only minor injuries. I certainly hope that’s true, but hopefully the victim was thoroughly examined. I’ve had cases where someone thought they had “minor” injuries only for them to get worse and worse over the course of a few days. That’s why a crash like this should always be taken seriously. It’s better to have a bunch of evidence you don’t end up needing than to be in dire need of evidence you never bothered to collect.
