Denton, TX — November 30, 2023, a child was injured in a truck accident just before 10:15 p.m. along Interstate Highway 35E.
According to reports, a 28-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy were traveling in a southbound Dodge Dakota in the vicinity of the Teasley Lane overpass when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, the Dodge failed to safely maintain its lane of travel, losing control and veering right where it collided with a guardrail on the right side of the road. After hitting the guardrail, the vehicle allegedly re-entered the lanes of traffic where it was struck by a southbound 18-wheeler. The child who had been in the Dodge reportedly sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the incident. He was taken to a local medical facility in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries were reported.
