Blanco County, TX — December 20, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just before 1:45 in the afternoon along R.R. 1623.
According to reports, a 25-year-old man was traveling in a northbound 18-wheeler on Ranch Road 1623 in the vicinity of the Dipper Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the vehicle may have been traveling at unsafe speeds when rainy and wet weather and road conditions are taken into account. The truck reportedly veered to the right off of the roadway before being overcorrected to the left. It then crossed over both lanes of traffic before going into a roll, coming to a stop resting on its roof in the roadside ditch on the west side of the roadway.
The 25-year-old—the sole occupant of the vehicle—reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is ongoing.
