Bedford, VA — February 29, 2024, one person was injured in a truck accident at approximately 10:00 a.m. along Comer Lane.
According to authorities, the causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear.
Officials state that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision occurred between an SUV and an 18-wheeler. One person was reportedly entrapped in the wreckage of the SUV and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. Once freed from the aftermath, the victim was flown to an area hospital in order to receive immediate treatment for the critical injuries sustained in the crash. No other injuries have been reported.
