Beacon Falls, CT — February 4, 2024, two children were killed and three adults were injured in a truck accident at approximately 3:30 p.m. along Route 8.
According to authorities, two adults—ages 33 and 25—and two children—ages 3 and 6—were traveling in a Honda Civic on Route 8 in the vicinity south of the State Highway 42 overpass when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Honda was rear-ended by a Ford F-600 truck. The children were critically injured in the accident and were rushed to a local hospital for immediate treatment; however, they were both there declared deceased. The two adults from the Honda sustained reportedly severe injuries, as well, while the sole occupant of the truck incurred apparently minor injuries.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
