Amherst, NY — March 21, 2024, at least three people were injured in a truck accident sometime in the morning along Sheridan Drive.
According to authorities, an 18-wheeler was switching from one lane to another on Sheridan Drive in the vicinity of the Jordan Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler attempted the lane change at an unsafe time, colliding with another 18-wheeler as a result. The collision pushed the second 18-wheeler into another lane where it struck a Mazda minivan.
The drivers of each of the trucks along with at least one passenger from the second truck incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. They were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Reports state that at least one person from the Mazda apparently incurred minor injuries, as well, though transport for medical treatment was allegedly not deemed necessary.
