Abilene, TX — January 11, 2024, a woman was injured in a truck accident just after 12:45 in the morning along Interstate 20.
According to reports, a 29-year-old woman was traveling in an eastbound Audi along Interstate 20 in the vicinity northwest of State Highway 351 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Audi was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway. An oncoming westbound 18-wheeler which had been traveling in the same lane as the Audi reportedly attempted to change lanes in order to avoid a collision, but the passenger vehicle still collided with the trailer which had been in tow behind the 18-wheeler.
The 29-year-old woman incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
