With a chaotic multi-vehicle crash like this, it’s easy for details to get lost in the shuffle. It’s a good time to remind people that getting answers starts with asking the right questions, and that’s where relying on authorities alone sometimes falls short. They don’t always spend as much time as is needed to getting clear answers, so important details may slip through the cracks. Was there some kind of vehicle defect? Did a tire blowout? Was there a medical emergency? Was there a driver who was unlawfully over-served alcohol? Were there issues with the roadway itself? Likely or not, overlooking something is only going to risk missing something important that could help victims and families get a fair resolution. It remains to be seen if steps are being taken here to avoid such oversights.
