Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
With a crash like this, it’s a reminder of why it’s so important to be prompt and to have as thorough an investigation as possible working to tell the story. Folks tend to think everyone ends up with the help they need after a transit bus crash, but these are huge government entities with commercial insurance polices, and there are dozens of people all with their own needs and priorities. There isn’t a magic wand that gets everyone what they’re owed. It’s up to the victims and their families to fight for their own fair resolution, and that doesn’t happen by simply waiting around.
In my experience, the people who work as quickly as possible to tell their side of the story with the most evidence possible well tend to have the best outcomes.
