Woodbridge, VA — December 2, 2024, four people were injured after a tractor-trailer accident early Monday along Gordon Boulevard.
Preliminary details about the crash say that it happened in the area of Riverview Lane, just off Old Bridge Road.
According to officials, a tractor-trailer and multiple other vehicles collided, causing the vehicles to run off the side of the road. There, the tractor-trailer crashed into a condo building. Due to the collision, at least four people were taken to area hospitals.
Right now, the exact cause of the crash remains unclear.

I’ve handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, and the fact of the matter is they’re about as complex as an investigation can get. People often see them as just big car accidents, but they can involve unique factors a typical police investigation may not be able to address.
For example, have authorities pulled data from Engine Control Modules of the vehicles involved? Did they pull GPS data from cell phones? Have they checked to see if the truck had mechanical issues, either due to a defect or poor maintenance? Did the accident involve reckless drivers who were hired despite a history of causing accidents?
Too often, I come across police reports that barely consider any evidence beyond what’s readily apparent at the scene. It’s one of the reasons more thorough independent accident reconstructions are a prudent way to found out if authorities let anything important slip through the cracks. Especially considering the chaotic crash scene that resulted from this crash, I see no reason why this incident would be an exception.
