How Did This Accident Occur?
It would be easy to assume the Nissan driver caused this accident because he wasn’t paying attention, but facts are better than assumptions in determining what caused a crash, in my experience. A proper investigation will unearth the facts needed to sort out what happened in U.S. 287.
The indication that the car had its driver assistance unit on raises the possibility that some sort of malfunction contributed to this crash. These units are designed to override the driver’s inputs in certain circumstances. This technology is meant to save lives, but it is worth checking to see that it was functioning properly at the time of the accident.
The injured driver and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this accident.
