Brazoria County, TX — August 9, 2025, Timothy Zavala was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 3:40 a.m. along Highway 35 South
Initial details released about the accident say that the crash took place near the Highway 35 and Johnson Street intersection south of town.
According to officials, 53-year-old Timothy Zavala was on foot at the time walking southbound along the highway. Authorities said that a “white late model Ford Bronco” struck Timothy Zavala, then left the scene.
Due to the collision, Timothy Zavala was killed. No other injuries were reported. It’s unclear at this time if authorities have been able to identify the driver involved.

If authorities still haven’t located the runaway driver here, it might help if they could keep putting out details into the public eye. One of the best tools investigators have in these situations is the community. Hit-and-runs often see conclusions because someone is able to connect dots authorities couldn’t. Even family members, friends, or romantic partners of a runaway driver have come forward to do right by victims and families. The same could very well happen here so that there can finally be some accountability for this fatal accident.
