Denton County, TX — June 8, 2024, Tiffany Hilliard and one other person were injured in a multi-car accident at approximately 7:00 a.m. along I.H. 35E.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 35E in the vicinity southeast of Farm to Market 2181.

Traffic in the far right lane was reportedly at a stop due to a stalled vehicle ahead. Officials indicate that a southbound Toyota Corolla which had been stopped in that traffic attempted to merge left at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the left side of the Corolla and the front-right side of a southbound Mercedes-Benz occupied by 42-year-old Tiffany Hilliard. This collision caused the Corolla to veer back toward the right where it collided with the back-left side of a Toyota Avalon that was still stopped in traffic. The Mercedes-Benz was pushed toward the left where it was involved in another collision with a southbound Toyota Corolla Cross SUV. That collision caused the Corolla Cross to overturn, coming to a stop resting on its roof. The Mercedes-Benz also swerved back toward the right because of that collision, where it was involved in a final collision with the left side of a Chevy pickup truck hauling a trailer.
Hilliard suffered severe injuries over the course of the accident, according to reports. The 25-year-old man who had been the sole occupant of the Corolla Cross incurred moderate injuries as well. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
