Atascosa County, TX — December 22, 2023, Thomas Goracy and three others were injured in a car accident just after 6:45 p.m. along U.S. 281.
According to reports, three people were traveling in a northbound Ford Focus on U.S. 281 attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Old Pleasanton Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Ford entered the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision with a southbound Dodge Durango occupied by Thomas Goracy. The Durango reportedly overturned, coming to rest on the shoulder southwest of the intersection resting on its driver side. Goracy was allegedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel.
The 23-year-old man and 2-year-old girl in the Ford sustained suspected minor injuries, while the 22-year-old woman who had also been in the Ford had moderate injuries. Goracy, however, incurred reportedly serious injuries due to the wreck. All four victims were taken to local medical facilities for treatment.
