How Did This Accident Occur?
At this point, it’s not clear what caused this crash. Was the Ford speeding? Did the cement truck stop suddenly? Was the Ford driver distracted or fatigued? Did the car have a problem with its brakes? These are the kind of questions that authorities must consider as they investigate this accident.
Investigators will rely on vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and available video footage to reconstruct this crash, while cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time.
If authorities suspect a mechanical issue contributed to the crash, a qualified expert should examine both vehicles in a laboratory setting. Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such inspections, but the Ford driver’s family deserves to know as much as possible about what caused this accident.
