There isn’t a lot of information available about this accident right now. Any crash involving a commercial truck is going to involve unique challenges. A lot of people forget that truck drivers are on the road, too, and can fall victim to circumstances beyond their control. That’s why investigations have to be careful and thorough. Mechanical issues, disabled vehicles, alcohol or drugs, road hazards, cargo shifts, defects, tire blowouts—likely or not, investigations should be able to rule out or confirm key evidence so those involved in the accident can move forward with as much information as possible.
