Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People tend to just write off weather-related accidents as unavoidable. However, bad weather is often somewhat foreseeable, within reason. Most work sites will have people checking to make sure the forecasts are clear. If it seems like there might be severe weather, they plan accordingly. So, it’s important to know how much warning there was that this weather was coming through the area and whether steps could have been taken to get these workers out of harm’s way.
