How Did This Accident Occur?
Just to be clear up front, I can’t confirm right now if the allegations about this driver being under the influence are true. However, if they are, I hope authorities have done more than just slap a few charges on the driver and move on. Anytime there’s a minor drinking and driving, it’s important to find out where that alcohol came from. It’s unlawful to provide alcohol to minors, and both private individuals and licensed alcohol providers can be held responsible for serving alcohol to a minor and contributing to a serious crash. It’s always important to get the whole story after a car accident, but it’s even more important to make sure there isn’t someone in the community putting others at risk.
