Austin, TX — July 27, 2024, a teenager was injured as the result of a car accident that happened just before midnight along Ben White Boulevard.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place at the intersection of East Ben White and Woodward Street, just off I-35.
Investigators said that an 18-year-old man was in a Volvo going westbound on Ben White. The vehicle somehow left its lane, and it ran off-road and crashed into a pole. Due to the accident, the 18-year-old was seriously injured.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Additional details are unavailable.

With crashes involving teenage drivers, I have to wonder if authorities did their due diligence. Unfortunately, a lot of people let their bias get in the way of the evidence speaking for itself. Even if younger drivers are statistically more likely to make mistakes, jumping to conclusions isn’t going to help anyone. So hopefully authorities were careful to investigate this crash without letting their bias warp things. If there was more to this story that never got proper attention, though, it wouldn’t be that unusual.
