Brownsville, TX — December 14, 2025 a teenager was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:18 p.m. along Interstate 69E.
Initial reports said that the crash happened between Alton Gloor Boulevard and Morrison Road.
According to officials, an 18-year-old man was in a Mercedes-Benz going northbound along the freeway. For reasons not confirmed, the vehicle left its lane and crashed. Due to this, the teen driver had serious injuries.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Additional details are unavailable.

I certainly don’t know anything more about this crash than what’s already public. My hope is simply that authorities don’t jump to conclusions based on the driver’s age. A lot of folks will immediately blame teenage drivers without actually considering any evidence. This can lead to false or incomplete conclusions, which obviously isn’t ideal. So if authorities here can show they’re letting the evidence speak for itself, that would be good to hear. Otherwise, there may need to be efforts from unbiased independent investigators to keep the facts straight.
