Collin County, TX — February 18, 2024, Tanya Brayton was injured in a car accident just after 10:00 a.m. along University Drive.

According to authorities, a 33-year-old man, a 17-year-old woman, and a baby girl were traveling in an eastbound Dodge Challenger on University Drive at the Towne Crossing intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Challenger disregarded the red light indicated by the traffic signal and entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the Challenger and a northbound Kia Sportage occupied by 60-year-old Tanya Brayton.

Brayton incurred suspected severe injurie as a result of the wreck. She was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
