Accident Report

March 16, 2026, two people lost their lives due to a tanker truck accident at around 9:30 a.m. along State Highway 18.

According to authorities, two people were traveling in a Mercury Grand Marquis on S.H. 18 in the vicinity east of the Meridian Road intersection when the accident took place. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision occurred between the right side of the Mercury and the front-end of a tanker truck. A Jeep was involved in the wreck, though reports state that it did not make contact with either of the other vehicles.

The two people who had been in the Mercury had suffered fatal injuries due to the collision and were declared deceased at the scene. It is unclear whether or not anyone else was hurt. That way, the loved ones of those who lost their lives in this wreck can have answers backed by evidence and accountability for everyone who had a role in the wreck.
