Accident Report
May 24, 2026, Tammy Huynh and one other were injured following a hit-and-run accident at 9:19 p.m. along Greenhouse Road.
According to initial statements from authorities, the accident happened near Greenhouse Road and Cypress Bay Drive, north of Clay Road.
Investigators said that 51-year-old Tammy Huynh and three others were in a Toyota Camry going northbound on Greenhouse. Another vehicle was also going northbound when it reportedly failed to control speed. A crash occurred, following which the second vehicle reportedly fled the scene.
Due to the accident, Tammy Huynh reportedly sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota had non-life-threatening injuries. Right now, it’s unclear if authorities identified or located the suspect runaway driver.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of hit-and-runs late in the evening end up involving drivers who were intoxicated. They don’t want police to catch them driving while intoxicated, so they flee the scene. Maybe something else happened here, but it would likely require locating the driver to be sure anyway. If that has yet to happen, hopefully authorities can release more information to the public. The more eyes there are on the story, the more likely it is someone connects the dots and comes forward. Even months after an accident, steps can be taken to help see there’s a resolution to all of this and that there will be accountability.
