How Did This Accident Occur?
Most people who read about this accident likely will blame the motorcycle rider for causing this crash, but what if it wasn’t her fault? Maybe her motorcycle had a mechanical issue. Maybe the Dodge stopped or slowed suddenly, or didn’t have working brake lights. The only way to know what happened on MoPac Expressway is to wait for the investigation to be completed.
Authorities will scrutinize evidence from the scene, data from the vehicle, witness statements and any available video footage to piece together how this accident unfolded.
An in-depth inspection of the motorcycle should be done to determine if there were any mechanical malfunctions or product defects that may have contributed to the crash. If authorities won’t request one, the motorcyclist’s family should insist that an inspection is done so they know as much as possible about what caused this crash.
