San Augustine County, TX — October 31, 2024, Suzie Larive was killed following an accident at around 12:00 P.M. on Highway 96.
Authorities are investigating an accident that claimed the life of 70-year-old Suzie Larive of Hemphill Thursday afternoon. According to reports from officials, Larive was in the northbound lanes of Highway 96 outside of San Augustine when the vehicle lost control and left the roadway, striking first a fence, then a tree.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found her with no signs of life and declared her dead. At this point, authorities have not released any potential findings as to what caused the fatal accident, however this accident is still under investigation.
