Fort Worth, TX — December 21, 2023, Susan Simmons was killed and Krystal Edwards was injured after a hit-and-run accident at 7:00 p.m. on International Pkwy.

Authorities said they were called to the accident scene just south of the DFW airport near the Highway 183 ramp.

According to officials, 57-year-old Susan Simmons and 48-year-old Krystal Edwards were standing along the side of International Parkway after their vehicle became disabled. Authorities say they were waiting on a tow truck at the time when a vehicle apparently hit Simmons and Edwards, then left the scene.

As a result of the collision, Simmons succumbed to her injuries. Edwards was taken to a hospital with apparently serious injuries. Authorities say that they’re looking for a Toyota Tundra pickup missing one of its mirrors. Additional details about the accident are unavailable as investigations continue.
