Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It seems like authorities have the vehicle that was involved in the accident, which usually means it’s just a matter of time before the driver is identified. Once that happens, authorities can work to determine not just what caused the crash but what it is the runaway driver didn’t want authorities to know about. Drunk driving? Warrants? Accountability demands a thorough investigation into all of these possibilities, so the sooner a runaway driver is located, the better.
