Harris County, TX — January 5, 2026, Stephen Moore was killed and Lin Fugui was injured as the result of a car accident around 1:25 a.m. along Huffmeister Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in northwest Houston at the intersection of Huffmeister Road and Spring Cypress Road.
According to officials, Stephen Moore was on a three-wheeled motorcycle going northbound along Huffmeister Road. At Spring Cypress Road, Lin Fugui was in a Mazda SUV going westbound on Spring Cypress Road. The vehicles crossed paths at the intersection and collided.
Harris County officials report that Stephen Moore sustained fatal injuries. Lin Fugui had minor injuries. At this time, no further information is available.

I certainly don’t know more about this than what’s in the news. My hope is simply that investigators have been fair in their investigations. Frankly, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists and other non-standard vehicles like three-wheelers or scooters. Sometimes, this leads to authorities jumping to conclusions rather than letting the evidence speak for itself. That’s when there may need to be more thorough independent investigations to ensure nothing important slipped through the cracks. It remains to be seen here how careful authorities have been in their investigations.
