Wise County, TX — June 28, 2025, Stephen Brinlee was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 10:15 p.m. along US 380.
Authorities said that the incident took place on the Lake Bridgeport bridge east of town.
It appears that 37-year-old Stephen Brinlee was on a KTM motorcycle traveling eastbound along the highway. A pickup was going the same direction. Somehow, the vehicles crossed paths and collided with one another.
Stephen Brinlee reportedly was seriously injured. No other injuries were reported. Additional details are unavailable.

With any non-typical vehicle, such as a motorcycle or ATV, it’s important to make sure investigators were actually thorough in their investigations. Even with a typical car accident, authorities may not be motivated to conduct thorough investigations. An atypical vehicle is only going to make it more challenging to adjust their usual techniques, and important details can get lost in the shuffle. Maybe authorities here took care not to let anything get by them, but it wouldn’t be unusual if getting answers here required more thorough independent investigations.
