April 29, 2026, Stephanie Bastida was injured following a truck accident that happened around 11:48 p.m. along US 75.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened south of Sherman in the area of the Central Expressway and Shepherd Road intersection.
It appears that 19-year-old Stephanie Bastida was in a Toyota Camry going southbound on the highway. A Freightliner pulling two trailers was also going southbound. The vehicles somehow crossed paths and collided.
Due to the collision, Stephanie Bastida was seriously injured. Authorities did not report other injuries. Additional details about the crash are unavailable.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A late-night truck crash like this can involve all kinds of factors. Some of the more common ones are distracted driving and fatigue, which is where authorities usually begin their investigations.
