Accident Report
March 26, 2026, Stella Ogechi Amadi was killed as the result of an 18-wheeler accident that happened around 4:25 a.m. along I-95.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash took place in the Doswell area along northbound lanes of the interstate.
It appears that 56-year-old Stella Ogechi Amadi was in an SUV going along the interstate. The SUV and an 18-wheeler reportedly collided, following which another 18-wheeler crashed, as well. Due to this, Stella Ogechi Amadi sustained fatal injuries.
No further information about the accident is available at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
People are generally going to look at preliminary reports like these, see which vehicle reportedly lost control or left its lane, and just assume that driver made a mistake. That is obviously possible, and I’m not suggesting anything otherwise happened here. However, I’ve handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases. Early reports like these rarely ever tell the whole story.
Even if a vehicle leaves its lane, the reason why can vary significantly. It could be anything from distraction to a medical emergency to a tire blowout to a vehicle defect. The key is to make sure authorities gather enough evidence to definitively say what did and didn’t happen leading up to the crash.
Sometimes, authorities can handle that on their own. Other times, families end up waiting weeks or months for answers that never come. It should be no surprise, then, that a lot of families bring in independent investigators to look things over. At worst, they can help confirm what police find in their efforts. At best, they can catch crucial details that slipped by authorities. Either way, the end result should be the victims and families affected by the crash having all the information they need going forward. Is that happening here?
