How Did This Accident Occur?

Authorities believe someone ran the light here, so that makes things seem pretty open-and-shut. But there can be a wide range of reasons why someone might run a light, and they aren’t always so simple.

For example, there would be a big difference between a driver running a light while looking at their phone and running a light because they were extremely intoxicated after being unlawfully over-served by a local sports bar. One might not go beyond the crash scene. The other could be a length legal process to hold both a reckless driver and a law-breaking alcohol provider accountable for contributing to a serious accident.

That’s why it’s important that victims and families at least know that investigators are being as thorough as possible. A serious crash requires a serious resolution, and that begins with getting all the facts.
