Lamar County, TX — September 14, 2025, one person was injured due to a single-vehicle car accident around 3:36 a.m. along County Road 42200.
According to officials, the accident happened north of Paris off Stillhouse Road.
It appears that a 19-year-old was driving a Dodge Ram pickup with a 23-year-old riding as a passenger. The vehicle reportedly was going southbound when it reportedly lost control and crashed. The passenger reportedly was seriously injured as a result.
The driver apparently was not injured. Right now, additional details about the crash remain unconfirmed.

Examining the factors leading to a crash are obviously important. However, it’s also important to consider if the cause of someone’s injuries was separate. I bring this up because two people in the same vehicle are usually going to end up in similar conditions. The fact the driver here was apparently fine while the passenger was seriously injured raises red flags. Is that something authorities looked into, or could there be more to this story that isn’t getting the attention it needs.
