Arlington, TX — September 15, 2024, one person was injured following a hit-and-run single-car accident at about 12:30 a.m. along Sherry Street.
According to authorities, a Nissan Armada occupied by a 36-year-old passenger and one other man was headed northbound on Sherry Street when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Armada failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered off of the left side of the road where it crashed into a utility pole before swerving to the opposite side of the roadway. There, it apparently left the road, altogether, drove over a residential yard, and came to a stop only after colliding with a house.
The passenger of the vehicle suffered injuries of unknown severity as a result of the wreck, though they were not described to have been life-threatening. He was taken to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. The person who had been behind the wheel of the Nissan at the time of the wreck allegedly fled the scene on foot. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
