Brazoria County, TX — January 14, 2024, a man sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 2:20 a.m. along Columbia Drive/Highway 36.
Authorities released preliminary details about the crash following investigations. They said the crash happened off the corner of Columbia Drive and F.M. 522, south of West Columbia.
According to officials, a 22-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Honda Civic going northbound along Columbia Drive. The vehicle somehow ended up leaving its lane, and it ran off the side of the roadway. There, the vehicle crashed head-on into a tree.
