El Paso, TX — January 17, 2024, one person was injured in a single-car accident in the morning hours along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
According to authorities, the accident occurred near the Martin Luther King Jr. and Jon Cunningham Boulevards intersection.
Officials indicate that when the plates of the vehicle were ran, they came back as reportedly stolen. An attempt to pull the vehicle over was made, but the car refused to stop and a chase ensued. It ended, however, when the vehicle drove off of the roadway and into a ditch. Photographs taken of the scene which have been published in the news depict a car on the left ledge of a dry canal with its rear right wheel suspended in the air over the edge. One person incurred allegedly minor injuries and was taken into police custody.
